Açıklama

"Afterwards" by Guillaume Musso follows the life of Nathan Del Amico, who, at the age of eight, experienced a near-death brain injury after bravely attempting to rescue a young girl in a lake. Despite facing cardiac arrest and clinical death, Nathan miraculously came back to life. Two decades later, he has become a renowned lawyer in New York, seemingly putting the traumatic incident behind him. He even marries Mallory, the girl from the lake, despite her previous departure, and Nathan remains nostalgically attached to her. However, Nathan is oblivious to the fact that those who return from the afterlife are not the same as before. The narrative unfolds with Nathan realizing that the resurrected carry an altered essence.
