An Madaran, In Dokhtaran by Belgheis Soleimani

Açıklama

"An Madaran, In Dokhtaran" (Those Mothers, These Daughters) by Belgheis Soleimani tells the poignant story of Soraya, a widowed woman from Gooran, who lost her husband while she was three months pregnant with their daughter. Soraya relocates to Tehran, where she raises her daughter, Ana, alone while working as a teacher. As Ana grows into a young and rebellious woman, the relationship between mother and daughter becomes strained. Soraya and Ana find themselves increasingly unable to understand each other. Their arguments and conflicts become more complex, affecting the deepest and most sensitive aspects of their personal and social lives. Through the struggles of Soraya and Ana, Soleimani sheds light on the broader themes of maternal sacrifice, youthful rebellion, and the quest for mutual understanding amidst changing times.
