Açıklama

"Bazi-e Akhar-e Banoo" by Belgheis Soleimani tells the story of Gol Banoo, a young woman living in a rural village, determined to change her destiny despite numerous obstacles. Gol Banoo aspires to attend university, seeking to break free from the future predicted for her by her community, her school janitor mother, and the village's mortician. Throughout her life, Gol Banoo experiences love, rejects suitors, enters a marriage that ends in divorce, and faces the abduction of her child by her ex-husband. These experiences mark her journey and highlight the societal challenges she confronts. The novel features various archetypes from 1980s Iran, including leftist political activists, intellectuals, traditional businessmen, creative young people with a passion for literature, government officials of the Islamic Republic, and vulnerable women.
