Behind the Mirror book by Lili Golestan

Açıklama

Behind the Mirror by Lili Golestan offers an intimate and revealing portrait of Mahmoud Dowlatabadi, one of Iran’s most celebrated contemporary writers. Golestan traces the milestones of his life and career with clarity, warmth, and deep respect. A key strength of the book is the author’s method: she not only interviews Dowlatabadi himself but also speaks with every member of his family, capturing what she calls “the behind-the-scenes” of his life. Their personal memories and honest reflections enrich the narrative and add emotional depth. Reading the views of those closest to him provides a rare, engaging perspective. The result is a compelling biographical work that brings the writer’s private world into sharper focus.
