Açıklama

*Birds of Iran – An Annotated Checklist of the Species and Subspecies* is regarded as the second major ornithological reference for Iran, providing a thorough update and expansion of bird species and subspecies records more than a century after the publication of Zarudny’s original checklist. This authoritative work details 551 species and 535 subspecies found across Iran, offering a comprehensive and systematic overview of the country’s avian diversity. The checklist is based on careful consideration of factors such as global distribution patterns, verified museum specimens, references in scientific literature, and the insights of experienced ornithologists. By integrating historical data with modern research, this book serves as an essential resource for researchers, birdwatchers, and conservationists interested in the rich and varied birdlife of Iran.
