Black Flower book by Young-ha Kim (Farsi)

Açıklama

Black Flower by Kim Young-ha is a powerful historical novel based on the little-known Korean migration to Latin America in the early twentieth century. The story follows more than a thousand Koreans who, in 1905, flee famine, political turmoil, and Japan’s growing dominance. Departing from Jemulpo with hopes of a better life, they are deceived by false promises of good work in Mexico. When they reach Yucatán, they discover they have been sold as contract laborers. Forced into harsh conditions, exploitation, and discrimination on distant henequen plantations, they struggle to survive. Through their journey, the novel reveals a poignant story of displacement, endurance, and the human cost of pursuing hope in an unfamiliar land.
