Freud and the Non-European by Edward Said (Farsi)

Açıklama

Freud and the Non-European is a compelling analysis in which Edward Said engages with Sigmund Freud’s final book, Moses and Monotheism, to explore issues of identity, cultural inheritance, and the legacy of colonialism. Said examines Freud’s complex views on Jewish identity and exile, drawing parallels to the broader context of displacement and national belonging. Through a close reading, Said reflects on Freud’s ambivalence toward non-European cultures and how this tension mirrors the contradictions of Western intellectual traditions. Thought-provoking and nuanced, the book invites readers to reconsider the limits of identity and the possibilities of cultural coexistence.
