Açıklama

Introduction to the Structural Theory of Iranian Music by Dr. Mohsen Farbodmanesh offers a groundbreaking analysis of Iran's traditional music through the lens of structural theory. Drawing from his expertise in economics and a fresh perspective on music, Farbodmanesh employs mathematical and statistical methods to examine the core notes—starting note, witness note, and stopping note—in various Iranian musical modes (dastgahs) and their associated melodies (gushes). The book presents these findings through detailed charts and diagrams, providing a visual representation of the intricate patterns within Iranian classical music. This work addresses fundamental questions about the relationships between different dastgahs and their subcategories, offering a new framework for understanding the evolution and structure of Iranian music. Ideal for scholars, musicians, and students, this comprehensive study bridges the gap between traditional music theory and contemporary analytical approaches.
