Khuzestanian Music Album by Various Arab Artists

Açıklama

Khuzestanian Music Album by Various Arabian Artists showcases the diverse folk traditions of the Arab communities in Khuzestan, Iran. As noted by researcher Mahmoud Mashhudi, the Arab population of Khuzestan is composed of urban (Hazri), rural (Reifi), nomadic (Badawi), marshland (Me’dan), and Bakhtiari Arabs (Jibilat), each with distinct cultural practices. Their music plays a central role in celebrations, dances, heroic movements, mourning rituals, religious ceremonies, and lullabies, while in other social activities such as storytelling, children’s games, or humorous gatherings, music takes a secondary role. Importantly, men and women maintain separate repertoires, reflecting the independent cultural and social traditions of each group. This album captures the richness of these musical identities, offering listeners an authentic introduction to Khuzestanian Arab heritage.
