Los conspiradores book by Jorge Ibarguengoitia (Farsi)

Açıklama

Los conspiradores by Jorge Ibargüengoitia, published in 1981 as his final novel, is a sharp historical satire based on the real events of the Queretaro conspiracy of 1810 — a prelude to Mexico’s War of Independence. With his signature wit and irony, Ibargüengoitia dismantles official historical myths, turning them into a tale of human folly, betrayal, and incompetence. Set in colonial Mexico, the novel follows a group of local elites, clergy, and intellectuals plotting against Spanish rule, whose plans unravel through confusion and blunders. Far from portraying heroes, Ibargüengoitia presents his conspirators as flawed, self-interested, and absurdly human. Through biting dialogue and dark humor, he exposes the chaos behind revolutionary ideals, questioning whether history is shaped by brilliance — or by accident.
