Pink Slime Book by Fernanda Trías (Farsi)

Açıklama

"Pink Slime" by Fernanda Trías is a novel set in a port city grappling with an ecological crisis. The narrative unfolds in a city besieged by environmental challenges, such as toxic algae-filled rivers and a deadly 'red wind.' The wealthy have evacuated the coastal areas for safer inland regions, leaving the less fortunate residents to navigate blackouts, food shortages, and the challenges of survival in abandoned houses. The unnamed narrator, choosing to stay behind, faces the task of disentangling herself from two significant relationships while caring for a young boy placed under her guardianship. As the world around them contracts, the protagonist reflects on the breakdown of emotional ties in her life, giving rise to a radical yet tender solitude. The novel delves into profound themes of motherhood, marriage, and caregiving, using striking prose and vivid characters.
