Poverty and Inequality Book by David B. Grusky (Farsi)

Açıklama

The book "Poverty and Inequality" edited by David B. Grusky brings together influential public intellectuals, including Amartya Sen, Martha C. Nussbaum, François Bourguignon, William J. Wilson, Douglas S. Massey, and Martha A. Fineman. The volume critically assesses current analytical perspectives on poverty and inequality, highlighting the need for a reevaluation given the changing landscape of global inequality. Contemporary research has often relied on outdated conceptual frameworks, hindering the understanding of evolving patterns of poverty. The contributors argue for a shift away from conventional poverty indices and traditional models of social mobility, emphasizing the inadequacy of current approaches to address modern challenges.
