Traditional Iranian Sugar Cone Set with Cutter and Baleh-Boroon Engagement Notebook

Açıklama

A unique and beloved part of the aghd ceremony is the sugar-rubbing ritual, where female relatives rub sugar cones (Kalleh Ghand) over a cloth held above the couple’s heads, symbolically showering them with sweetness and blessings for a joyful life together. This ritual is performed using a Kalleh Ghand and Ghand Shekan (sugar cutter) set, often chosen with elegant and decorative designs that complement the ceremonial Sofreh Aghd. These sets are cherished keepsakes and often include a matching Baleh-Boroon notebook for documenting the engagement ceremony. The Aghd ceremony is not only a legal union but also a poetic and emotional moment that blends tradition, symbolism, and the warmth of family — a beautiful reflection of Persian values and hospitality.
