Veronica’s Room Play by Ira Levin (Farsi)

Açıklama

Veronica's Room by Ira Levin is a psychological thriller that explores the fragile boundary between reality and illusion, sanity and madness. The play follows a young couple who are drawn into a disturbing situation by an elderly Irish pair after being mistaken for individuals connected to a deceased woman named Veronica. The couple is persuaded to impersonate Veronica, triggering a series of unsettling events in a room associated with her past. As the narrative progresses, identities blur and temporal dislocation occurs—one character believes it is 1935 while the setting is actually decades later. Through an atmosphere of suspense and psychological manipulation, Levin examines themes of guilt, deception, and the human tendency to construct alternative realities when confronted with trauma. The play’s ambiguous and shocking conclusion reinforces its central concern with the instability of perception and truth.
