Voices Book by Ursula K. Le Guin (Farsi Edition)

Açıklama

"Voices," set in the once-idyllic town of Ansul, portrays a haunting tale of transformation and resistance. Once adorned with libraries, schools, and temples, Ansul falls under the oppressive rule of the Alds, who harbor a deep-seated fear that demons lurk within written words. Reading and writing are forbidden, punishable by death. The surviving remnants of knowledge find refuge in the Waylord's House, where the Waylord, scarred by years of torture, and Memer, the daughter of his heart, safeguard the precious books. As Ansul grapples with tyranny and censorship, change is ushered in by the arrival of Orrec Caspro, a poet from the Uplands, and his wife Gry. Orrec's voice becomes a beacon of hope, stirring the suppressed spirit of a conquered people.
