With The Lamp in the Distorted Mirrors Book by Behzad Ghaderi

Açıklama

With The Lamp in the Distorted Mirrors (Ba Cheragh Dar Ayeneha-ye Ghenas) by Behzad Ghaderi is a critical study of English drama across two pivotal periods: the Romantic era surrounding the French Revolution and the revolutionary theatre of 1968, including works such as Look Back in Anger. Ghaderi examines how playwrights who were initially aligned with dominant institutions—and later in conflict with them—transformed dramatic expression, fostering deeper human engagement between writer, audience, and critic. Through this lens, the book highlights how dramatic literature reflects and influences societal values and artistic discourse, offering insights valuable to both scholars and general readers interested in theatre and dramatic theory.
