Açıklama

A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings, adapted by Nilo Cruz from Gabriel García Márquez’s short story, is a poetic and thought-provoking play exploring human nature, faith, and the unexpected. The story begins when a strange old man with wings falls into a couple's yard, stirring the curiosity and skepticism of a small coastal village. Labeled as an angel by some and a freak by others, the man becomes an object of fascination and exploitation. The play delves into how people respond to the extraordinary ranging from awe and reverence to greed and fear. Through rich dialogue and vivid imagery, Cruz captures the magical realism of the original tale while emphasizing its emotional depth and social commentary. This poignant work invites audiences to question their perceptions of the miraculous and the mundane.
