Hunger and Thirst Play by Eugène Ionesco (Farsi)

Açıklama

Hunger and Thirst by Eugène Ionesco presents an odyssey-like journey in search of happiness and meaning. Structured in four symbolic movements—Escape, The Meeting, At the Foot of the Wall, and Supper at the Rural Inn—the play follows a protagonist who rejects his ordinary life as trivial and sets out in pursuit of an imagined fulfillment. Each stage confronts him with illusion, failure, and insurmountable barriers. Ultimately, he enters a deceptive community he mistakes for the faithful, only to recognize too late the value of what he once possessed. Blending allegory and absurdism, Ionesco explores spiritual emptiness, disillusionment, and the tragic cost of misguided longing.
