Letter to a Priest Book by Simone Weil (Farsi)

Açıklama

In "Letter to a Priest", Simone Weil addresses the Catholic Church with a deeply critical and reflective letter that examines the Church’s practices, beliefs, and its relationship with faith. Written in 1942, Weil critiques the Church for what she perceives as an overemphasis on rituals, dogma, and hierarchical authority, which she argues can overshadow the core message of Christianity—compassion, truth, and humility. Weil, though deeply spiritual, remained outside the Church, and in this letter, she expresses her struggle with the institutionalized aspects of religion. She questions the Church's stance on exclusivity, arguing that the true essence of faith should be universal and accessible to all, not confined to membership or adherence to specific rites. She also challenges the Church’s handling of social injustices.
