The Fire Raisers Play by Max Frisch (Farsi)

Açıklama

The Fire Raisers (Biedermann und die Brandstifter) is a play by Max Frisch, first published in 1953. The play explores themes of moral blindness, complacency, and the human tendency to deny and enable destructive behaviors. The story centers around Gottlieb Biedermann, a wealthy, self-satisfied man who, despite recognizing the danger, allows two strangers, who are secretly arsonists, to stay in his house. Biedermann’s refusal to confront the obvious threat around him symbolizes society’s tendency to ignore problems until it’s too late. The play is a critique of human behavior, questioning the moral responsibility individuals bear in the face of looming disaster. It remains a relevant exploration of the consequences of inaction and the ease with which people enable wrongdoing.
