The Grand Inquisitor Book by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Farsi)

Açıklama

"The Grand Inquisitor" is a powerful and thought-provoking parable included in Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel "The Brothers Karamazov." It is presented as a story within the story, where Ivan, one of the Karamazov brothers, shares this tale with his younger brother Alyosha. In this narrative, set in Seville during the Spanish Inquisition, Christ returns to Earth and performs miracles. However, rather than embracing Him, the Grand Inquisitor, a powerful religious figure, orders His arrest. The Inquisitor criticizes Christ for giving humanity free will and argues that the Church can better manage humanity by taking away their freedom, providing them with security and certainty. Dostoevsky's "The Grand Inquisitor" delves into profound existential and theological questions. The parable explores the tension between individual freedom and the desire for security, critiquing institutionalized religion and raising questions about the nature of faith, morality, and the human condition.
