The Lonesome West Play by Martin McDonagh (Farsi)

Açıklama

The Lonesome West by Martin McDonagh is a darkly comic Irish drama about two quarrelsome brothers, Valene and Coleman, who live together in their late father’s home and are locked in a perpetual cycle of bickering and violence over trivial matters. McDonagh’s signature blend of black humor and emotional brutality shapes the play, exposing the destructive nature of familial resentment and the impossibility of genuine reconciliation. Their arguments escalate from petty disputes to deeper moral and existential tensions, while a young priest attempts to mediate and prevent their conflict from descending into irreversible bloodshed. Through sharp, often outrageous dialogue, the play examines themes of isolation, guilt, and the human capacity for both cruelty and longing for connection.
