GOTT: Ein Theaterstück by Ferdinand von Schirach (Farsi)

Açıklama

GOTT by Ferdinand von Schirach is a powerful and thought-provoking play that explores the ethical and legal implications of assisted suicide. The story unfolds in a courtroom-like setting, where a panel of experts—including doctors, lawyers, and religious figures—debate the case of Richard Gärtner, a healthy 78-year-old man who wishes to end his life following the death of his wife. His request challenges society’s moral and legal frameworks, raising difficult questions about personal autonomy, medical ethics, and the role of the state in life-and-death decisions. As in Schirach’s other works, the play avoids clear-cut answers, instead inviting the audience to engage in the debate and ultimately decide the outcome. GOTT is a deeply human and philosophical exploration of free will, dignity, and the limits of law in shaping individual choices.
