Orestes Play by Euripides (Farsi)

Açıklama

Orestes by Euripides depicts the aftermath of Orestes’ murder of his mother Clytemnestra, committed at Apollo’s command to avenge Agamemnon’s death. Rather than finding relief, Orestes is tormented by the Furies—personifications of guilt and divine retribution—plunging him into madness. Supported by his sister Electra but hunted by political forces seeking punishment, he faces execution unless he can secure aid from his uncle Menelaus. Euripides presents a radical reinterpretation of the myth, questioning notions of justice and divine authority while exploring psychological suffering and the consequences of violence. The play’s tragic complexity reflects the instability of moral certainty and the enduring human struggle with guilt and redemption.
