Açıklama

The Language of Wild Berries by Naghmeh Samini is a distinguished work of modern Iranian theatre. Written in a poetic and symbolic style, the play explores human relationships, loneliness, and the complexities of interpersonal connections. It tells the story of a married couple, Davood and Donya, who retrace the journey they first took on their honeymoon from Tehran to northern Iran—this time with the intention of obtaining divorce papers from Donya’s mother. Along the way, a young man named Danial, with plans of murder, approaches the couple in various ways, seeking to prevent their journey or separate them. Through tension, symbolism, and psychological depth, the play examines love, conflict, and human desire in a contemporary social context.
